And speaking of CNN, apparently Bari Weiss – yeah, that Bari Weiss – has ideas for the network. Bari Weiss reportedly has ideas for CNN, too. Saturday night debates in front of a live audience? Is this supposed to be some kind of... political cage match? I can already picture the Twitter memes.

Look, I get it. CNN's ratings are probably in the toilet. They need a gimmick. But turning news into a freaking reality show? Give me a break. It's like they think we're all just a bunch of mouth-breathing morons who need our news spoon-fed to us with a side of manufactured drama. Offcourse, maybe they are right?

And the idea that Weiss is somehow going to elevate "normal" voices by shutting out people like Hasan Piker and Tucker Carlson? That’s not normal, that's called censorship with extra steps. Who decides what's "normal," anyway? Weiss? The same person who needs a $10k-a-day security detail to "do the fucking news"?

Operation Allies Welcome: A Welcome Mat or a Revolving Door?

This whole "Operation Allies Welcome" thing... it sounds nice in theory. Bring over Afghan refugees, give them a safe haven. But how thoroughly were these people vetted, really? CNN says the shooter was vetted...twice. Once in Afghanistan, again after applying for asylum.

But here's the thing: vetting processes aren't foolproof. People slip through the cracks. Bad actors exploit the system. It's not a bug, it's a feature. And now we're supposed to just shrug our shoulders and say, "Oh well, can't win 'em all"?

Trump’s promising to "re-examine every single alien" who came from Afghanistan. Good luck with that. That’s going to be a logistical nightmare, even for the guy who thinks he can single-handedly fix everything.
